Eternally insecure locks on the soul keep death at bay as a looming threat, yet as the only constant comfort provided. In the ruins of the throne, a new goddess on neon is constructed. Upon the completion of her sacred ceremony, televised publicly, a new fruitless war begins in her name.

The words of the most significant sister and the heretic spill simultaneously from their lips, untethered, unbound from any book of law, "God is dead." As the heretic's eyes dull, he speaks the final stanza in his poetic, pathetic life, "I killed him. I drink not for my mind to forget his death, but for my body to forget my birth. Your television will not keep you safe, Mother; It will keep you blind. If you close your eyes, you cannot see that any of the Commandments have been set in stone. If you close your eyes, my sin is negligible.
